Leadership in Multilateral Organizations

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Global leadership is the art of managing an international company. It includes understanding diverse people’s behaviours, attitudes, and thoughts to promote synergetic work in different parts of the world. It applies skills such as flexibility and independence to be able to achieve objectives in a global context. In this course you will learn to select and work with frameworks, best practices and solutions to improve the performance of executive heads of global organisations, international organisational networks and projects.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successfully completing the course, students will be able to apply key frameworks to analyse global leadership in context, assess the organization of international expansion, and examine cross-cultural communication between headquarters and subsidiaries. They will evaluate leadership traits, styles, and values within the international flow of products, ideas, and people, and compare global leadership agendas to understand business network and team dynamics. Furthermore, students will strengthen interdisciplinary research, critical thinking, and communication skills, while developing the ability to work independently and effectively in multicultural teams.
